About MAP: Upstream
MAP [Minorities & Philosophy] is comprised of students & philosophy departments who are committed to examining & addressing structural injustices in academic philosophy.
Mission Statement
MAP: Upstream strives to cultivate a community for diverse instructors of philosophy in the PNW to: share resources related to pedagogy & research; provide a support system for traditionally underrepresented groups in the discipline; create a safe space to discuss the ways in which white supremacy permeates the discipline (intellectually & institutionally); & create opportunities for personal & professional connections that can sustain us.
MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES:
