This course introduces students to a critical look at the methods of inquiry associated with the sciences. Drawing from a broad range of historical and contemporary sources, topics will include: the aim of science, distinguishing science from non-science, scientific explanation, confirmation, falsification, and the structure of scientific revolutions.
